Starvhyn is music for the end of the universe, where all that’s left is dance. Starvhyn is pop music. Or, if you like hyphens, Starvhyn is synth-pop, electro-pop, dance-pop, and pop-pop.
Starvhyn is synth-pop music for today. Drawing heavily from contemporary pop and 80s synth-pop, Starvhyn brings the catchy hooks, bouncing bass, and bright synths. What sets Starvhyn apart from its peers is the music’s depth. Sonic textures and dense compositions are given just as much weight as memorable songwriting.
Starvhyn is Derek Rogers and Ryan Bryant. They met whilst at university in New York and began writing music together in 2010. Derek asked Ryan to write lyrics for a pop EP and Starvhyn (formally Starmine) was formed. They are currently making music in Japan and New York, with their debut LP out in 2021.
